Brazil to Promote Image of its Poultry Abroad as Healthy and Sustainable Source: Feedinfo News Service (dated 04/01/2010) 4 January 2010 – Brazil is embarking on a large promotional campaign in foreign markets this year to promote the sustainable value, quality and good sanitary aspects of Brazilian poultry, says the Brazilian Poultry Exporters Association (Abef). Abef will be organising workshops in partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). In addition, Abef will participate in the International Poultry Expo, taking place in Atlanta at the end of the month. The association also plans to be present in South Africa for the FIFA Football World Cup in June. According to Abef’s president Francisco Turra, Brazilian poultry farming is “fully prepared to address concerns regarding sustainability and health”. “Our farms and cold storage rooms are cited as some of the most modern in the world by the international missions that visit our country”, added Turra.
